Dakota Danaher, a sophomore at El Toro High in California, took third in the girls varsity championship race at the South Coast League finals at Irvine Regional Park. Danaher covered the 3-mile layout in 17:31.4 to help the Chargers take third overall with 60 points. Danaher elevated from winning the freshman race last year.
